Legal Apprentices

Legal Apprentices

Forsters is proud to announce that we now have four legal apprentices who have joined the firm on a two year paralegal apprenticeship scheme.

Further information on the scheme can be found below, alternatively you can contact our recruitment manager, Rishi Chudasama.

We do not have any further vacancies, however we will be reviewing our needs for the coming year and update you accordingly.

Forsters is proud to introduce its new paralegal apprenticeship scheme, as a provider of the government Trailblazer scheme. The paralegal apprenticeship is for you if you have a keen interest in developing a successful legal career without wishing to attend university. Working with us, you will become equipped with the skills needed to work in a legal environment.

What you can expect from the scheme

We are offering you an opportunity to start your career by joining one of London's most successful and respected law firms. You will gain first-hand experience working with our lawyers and will help to deliver an excellent service to our clients.

You will have both on-the-job training and classroom-based training.

In the office, you will join one of our legal teams (commercial real estate, residential property or dispute resolution) and will work alongside our lawyers in helping to carry out legal research, drafting and other important client tasks. The work you will do in the office will complement the training you are receiving through our training provider.

Training

With our chosen partner, DAMAR/University of Law, you will attend a number of seminars and use other learning resources which cover areas such as technical legal practice, ethics, professionalism and judgment, managing yourself and your workload, and working with other people. Your learning will be supported by on-the-job training provided through our legal teams.

Assessment

This is arranged through our provider with whom you will have regular contact during the two years. Assessment is partly by producing a portfolio of evidence and partly through written assessment. At the end of the two-year period, you will be awarded a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship. We will support your training by giving you regular study leave.

Pay and benefits

During the two-year period, you will be an employee of Forsters and we will pay you a starting salary of £18,000 plus:

  • Competitive benefits including 22 days' holiday (plus bank holidays).
  • Nationally recognised qualification.
  • All training costs fully funded.

Application process

The application process for current positions is now closed.
