Forsters acts for Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council Pension Fund on £17m retail park purchase

Forsters has acted for Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council Pension Fund (clients of Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP) on their purchase of Maybrook Retail Park, Canterbury from Downham Properties. 

The 62,800 sq ft retail park, comprising six units, was purchased for £17.453m. Tenants are Dave Wheelan Sports, JJB Sports, Halfords, Maplin Electronics, Marks & Spencer Simply Foods and Scotco Restaurants (trading as KFC).

Commercial property partner Smita Edwards assisted by Steph Baker and Jack Paravicini acted for the purchasers.

John Kelsall of Walker Morris (Leeds) acted for the sellers.
